Wedding Blessings

We are happy to conduct ceremonies for marriage blessings and believe your marriage should be as individual as you are. The meeting house is a Grade II* listed building and offers a unique canvas for your decoration or theme as required for your special day.

To conduct a blessing at our venue, we require a minister in attendance. Our minister is from the Unitarian church; however, you may wish to organise your own.

A Unitarian blessing is a unique celebration of the joining of two people on their life's journey. There is no set liturgy or format but rather each blessing is a creation by a team made up of the couple and the minister. The blessing uses elements which are meaningful to those involved. The result is an honouring and celebrating of the joining of families, the commitment between two people and the blessing of whatever it is that gives meaning and substance to their lives.

A couple need not be members of a Unitarian church or fellowship to be blessed in a Unitarian ceremony.

We have a wonderful pipe organ which can be used on your special day and we can provide contact details of organists to play if required. Alternatively we can play recorded music as desired or you may wish to bring your own musicians.

We will be more than happy to discuss your requirements and how the meeting house can be transformed for your day. Please come along and view the meeting house during opening times. We can also arrange out of hours viewing and will be more than happy to discuss your requirements for that very special day.

All marriages can be blessed at the meeting house.
